About

Yi-An Chen is a Taiwan-born artist based in Lucerne, Switzerland.

His works do not follow a fixed workflow. Some begin as drawings and are later re-rendered through AI. Others start from AI-generated images and are extensively reconstructed through digital editing. Images may pass through multiple stages of compositing, modification, enhancement, and upscaling before reaching their final printed form.

Chen develops his work with physical presentation in mind. Every image is created with printing as its final destination. Rather than remaining on screens, his works are intended to enter exhibition spaces, public environments, and private homes.

He is interested in how artworks become part of everyday life—encountered not only in galleries, but also in the places people live, gather, and remember.
